We’re excited to offer a full-day early learning program for children ages 3.5 to 5, designed to nurture growth, spark curiosity, and prepare children for the next stage of their learning journey.
​
Class runs from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with plenty of time spent outdoors, engaging in hands-on activities, and participating in thoughtful, play-based learning.
Our program is designed for children who are ready to enjoy a full and engaging day. Children enjoy a quiet rest period each afternoon to recharge, though we do not offer a formal nap time.

We offer small class sizes (max. 20 children/class) and a team of three dedicated, experienced educators who will guide, teach, and grow alongside your child every step of the way.
Families provide two snacks and a lunch. There are no additional program costs beyond the monthly fee.

Enrolment Requirements:

Children must be 3.5 years old years old by September 2025 (born on or before March 1, 2022)

All children must be fully toilet trained

Meet The Team
MS. BAILIE
Ms. Bailie recently graduated from MRU with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Learning and Child Care. She has completed two of her practicums with AKIDEMY and enjoyed teaching summer camps the last two years. Miss Bailie values the formation of meaningful relationships and aims to provide children with materials and experiences that allow them to explore their environment. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her friends, family and two dogs.
MS. Amy
Ms. Amy holds a Diploma in Child and Youth Care counselling from Mount Royal University. Before joining the AKIDEMY team, she worked for over 15 years supporting children with special needs. Miss Amy is passionate about learning through play and creating meaningful, inclusive experiences for all children. During the summer months, she loves spending time outdoors, camping and travelling to Nova Scotia with her family.
MS. Taylor
Ms. Taylor graduated from the Bachelor of Child Studies Degree from MRU. She has 8 years of experience in multiple positions across various organizations in work and practicum opportunities during her degree. She is an advocate of play-based learning to help support children’s development through natural play and exploration opportunities. In her spare time she likes to take care of her plants, visit family, and explore nature.

Nestled between the bustling communities of Hillhurst and West Hillhurst, AKIDEMY Preschool opened in 2021 with a bright beautiful classroom and a desire to provide an incredible program to serve the area. We believe in building strong community relationships and are excited to bring our innovative program to Hillhurst and surrounding communities.
